Opportunity Links will be publishing a full Applications Programming Interface (API) for the evince product which will support the exporting of information in a controlled manner, and allow the integration of third party products through industry standard interfaces such as web services, RSS, OpenSearch, MS office export etc.  We are very interested in understanding how LAS would like to re-use the data held within evince and are mindful of the range of capability that is available in LA IT teams for this task.  Many authorities have already re-used the data within the iChIS system over its life and we would like to continue to support the innovative and value-adding practices in this area.  Opportunity Links also plans to support information integration into the evince product through extension of the current FSD Feed Manager module to the whole of evince (the Feed manager will function as an administrative component for managing all integration).  This module currently allows the FSD to draw information from any number of back office system feeds for publishing within the directory.
