Further Information
Following on from the successful roadshows we ran, a detailed roadmap is being drawn for evince, further details of which can be found on our roadmap page. Below are highlights of the functionality that will be available in the initial release of evince, scheduled for April 2008.
Manage details about both registered and non-registered childcare
Manage details about all the people used across evince, including enquiry contacts and staff members
Manage contacts which can be related to other record types in evince. Includes three types of contacts: general contacts, childcare contacts (including brokerage information), and parent direct contacts.
Manage details about organisations, including schools (including core offering information) and children's centres (including related childcare provision)
Manage and categorise details about a wide range of 'services' available to families, including events, activities, support groups, and childcare jobs
Allows for more complex searches based on any available field within childcare provider records
Run reports and queries based on any data held in the system through the evince website. Reports can be run as basic HTML, run using an advanced report viewer, and viewed as PDFs.
Reports and queries can be designed using the Report Designer click-once application.
Plot the results of searches on a map and carry out radius searches around central points or a route.
Design questionnaires and store results for contact and training evaluations
Manage qualifications used throughout evince in one central location
Central administration area, allowing administrators to manage settings, users, security groups and teams
Reports can be printed using the browser's print functionality, from pdf or using the advance report viewer. Queries and all search results can be exported to excel. All other screens in evince can be printed using the browser's print functionality.
Define additional management area locations required using postcodes (for example super output areas or any locally defined area) which can then be searched against and used in queries by matching records' postcodes to the defined areas' postcodes.
Create, assign and manage actions for individuals or teams.
Record campaigns and log contacts against them to track their effectiveness.
Manage course and course unit details, including requirements, locations, qualifications obtained, follow on courses and trainers. Book people onto courses and manage their statuses (booked, passed, failed etc), attendances and funding and cost details. Includes search functionality.
Manage recruitment vacancies, including details about salary, position type, requirements, childcare provider/organisation requiring position, and history of the recruitment's status. Includes search functionality.
Integrates into bulletin board and childcare provision records to add enhanced information required for CSDs. Includes ability to include/exclude records from a feed from evince into a CSD website.
Extends contacts to allow the capture of extra information around family-related advice and guidance.
