Further Information
One of our key design aims when creating evince, was that it should be easy to use. Specifically, those already using the national database should require little or no training to be able to start using evince today. While we are happy that we have met this design aim, there will always be a need for training and as you would expect we we are providing a number of different options.
As part of your license agreement, you will have access to various online support and training resources. The online training will take the form of screencasts, which will provide narrated demonstrations of key functionality areas of the evince system. For those that would prefer classroom based training with an expert user, we are providing these and details of the different courses are outlined below.
If you have any questions about the training options available then then please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this further.
While the free online training materials will be sufficient for many users, some will prefer to attend classroom based training, especially for some of the more advanced functionality within evince.
These are run regually at our Cambridge office with one of our expert users, or we are able to arrange to run these at your offices if required. Further details on the different courses available are outlined below, or we are happy to arrange a bespoke course to suit your needs.
To find out more about the costs associated with classroom training or to discuss your specific training needs, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this further.
Evince has very similar functionality to iChIS, however there are some important differences. We will look at differences in navigation, the new GIS system, sharing and running reports, Ofsted data and also the future for Evince.
This training is not compulsory, but is highly recommended for at least one or two members of your team.
This course covers the modification of existing reports to the requirements of your team, adding logos, creating and modifying custom letters. We will also create some simple queries from scratch; explore data models and the technical database guide.
This is a great starter course for anyone technically minded and with a need to print or output Early Years data. If you have recently attended iChIS Queries and Reports Level One you might not need this course, however, many customers come along for a refresher.
Builds on the skills obtained through Level One – we will look at more advanced queries, function queries and user parameters. The Report Designer will be thoroughly investigated including an introduction to the C# script.
You should have first attended either iChIS or Evince Queries and Reports Level One.
How to manage the entire training life-cycle on Evince. Including: creating courses, booking people onto courses, printing personalised course confirmations, registers and certificates. We will also cover evaluations and monitoring of non attendance.
If you have any questions about the training options available then then please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this further.
